Who We Are

A trust committed to the public good

Vardhan Public Welfare Foundation is a public welfare trust with a defined purpose: to work for people whose circumstances limit their access to education, care, opportunity and dignity.

Our governance, focus areas and standards of transparency provide a clear framework for responsible welfare programmes. We prioritise thoughtful planning and accountability so that our commitments remain realistic and well-supported.

Our commitment is to work honestly, within the law, and with respect for the people we intend to serve.

Our Focus Areas

Our Focused Work Areas

These are the areas, Trust focuses on today. They guide our planning, priorities and approach to responsible welfare programmes, and the list will widen as our capacity to serve responsibly grows.

Education & Literacy

We believe access to learning is the most durable form of welfare. Our education and literacy priorities focus on children and young people whose progress is limited by circumstance rather than ability, and on adults who never had the chance to build basic reading, writing and numeracy skills.

Child Welfare

A child's early years shape everything that follows. We intend to work on protection, health awareness and dignity for children who lack a stable support system.

Women Welfare

Welfare that reaches women reaches entire families. Our approach centres on skills, awareness and confidence rather than dependence.

Healthcare & Medical Relief

Health determines what else a person is able to pursue. The Trust intends to work towards earlier access to medical attention and relief for households whose treatment is delayed by cost, distance or a lack of reliable information.

Orphanage

Every child deserves care that feels like belonging. We aim to extend support to children without parental care, in line with the standards and safeguards such work demands.

Old Age Home

Dignity in later years is a measure of any society. We intend to work with and for elderly persons who face isolation, neglect or a lack of everyday support.

Preservation of Culture & Heritage

A community's traditions, crafts and memory are part of its dignity. The Trust intends to support work that records, preserves and passes on local culture, art forms and heritage — particularly where these are at risk of being forgotten.

Environment

Public welfare cannot be separated from the environment and everyday hygiene of the places people live in. Our environmental and cleanliness priorities reflect a long-term commitment to community participation and responsible stewardship.

Our Mission

Welfare built on dignity, not dependence

We intend to design programmes that respect the people they serve — grounded in listening, measured in scope, and answerable in conduct. Growth will follow capability, and never precede it.

  • Act with integrity and restraint
  • Serve without discrimination
  • Measure our work honestly
  • Build capacity before scale

Words from the Chairman

"Responsibility guides our purpose."

The Foundation is guided by a simple conviction — that welfare work must be carried out with the same discipline expected of any serious institution. Our approach places structure, accountability and clarity of purpose at the centre of responsible welfare planning.

Our commitment is to a clear standard of conduct. Everything we undertake will be reported honestly, and everything we claim will be verifiable.
